$2,500 to win Super Street Challenge September 11 at JMS!!!
Byram, MS – On September 11th the largest paying street stock event ever in the state of Mississippi will take place on the tight ¼ mile paperclip in Byram, MS known as Jackson Motor Speedway. Street car drivers and teams from as many as 4 states are expected to be on hand to compete in the first ever $2,500 to win Cooper’s Country Meat Packers Super Street Challenge presented by Tony Barker Racing Engines, JMC Motorsports and Star Plumbing. The event has a total payout of over $7,100 and will pay $100 to start. This finale event for the Mississippi State Super Street Challenge has been supported by three $1,000 to win events throughout the 2010 race season at Jackson Motor Speedway. Jeff Butler in his #2 Trick Race Cars/Tony Barker Racing Engines machine has taken the win in 2 of the 3 events with Greg Lockhart taking the other win in his #7L Lockhart Farms Chevy. Both Butler and Lockhart will have a bulls-eye on their back when the other competitors roll into Jackson Motor Speedway on September 11th. Other drivers expected to be on hand are Ricky Russell, Mike Ladner, Michael Williams, Dave Nations, Jeremy Idom, Landon Frith and other great street car drivers from all over the South. Butler currently leads Lockhart in his quest to become the first ever Mississippi State Super Street Champion. Jeremy Idom is 3rd in series points followed by Michael Williams in 4th and Martin Burke in 5th. Super Late Models and Pure Streets will also be in action on this night.

Also on September 11th Jackson Motor Speedway will be paying tribute to our men and women in uniform. The 113th Military Police Company headquartered in Brandon, MS will be on hand to carry “Old Glory” around the track while Magee High School Senior Carsyn Byars sings the National Anthem. Carsyn has been singing for nine years and has performed in various places and events including Disney World, the Dixie National Rodeo, Trustmark Park, and the Mississippi State Fair. You will not want to miss a couple of other surprises that are in store for our Salute to America.
$1,000 to WIN Kajun Mini’s added to Sept 18th Schedule!!
Byram, Ms – Jackson Motor Speedway is proud to announce that the Kajun Mini Stocks will be making their first appearance of 2010 at Jackson Motor Speedway on September 18th. Jackson Motor Speedway will host the Pop’s Auto Sales Mini Stock Challenge 20. This event will be a 20 lap $1,000 to win / $75 to start event. With $1,000 bucks on the line, the baddest mini stocks in the South should be on hand. Drivers from 4 states have already committed to attending the event.
“This is definitely a special event for us at JMS. With mini stocks and the 3rd Annual Jason Robbins Memorial modified event all in the same night, the car count should be good as well as fan count,” comment Brian Jones with Jackson Motor Speedway. “Our hope is that with the group of sponsors that we have compiled and a $1,000 first place prize money on the line with a great payback that we will top the 20 car mark for the mini’s.”
