$1,000 TO WIN IN EVERY CLASS THIS SATURDAY NIGHT AT JMS
Byram, MS – You will not want to miss this Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway where there will be action-packed “Main Events” all night long.
The highlight of the night will be the Da Dirty Double twin Nesmith Street Stock events that will pay $1000 to win each event and $50 to start with NO entry fee. “Street Stock racing is back!!” commented Brian Jones with Jackson Motor Speedway. “With the hard work of the MSSS street stock series, the Nesmith officials, track owners, drivers and fans, street stock racing is back, in my opinion. With the number of special events that have been held over the summer months and coming off the Street Stock Nationals at Whynot, I look for a great field of street stocks to be here at JMS competing for the $1000 to win events but also all the bonus money opportunities that are available.”
The Roofing with Strength Dirty Double will consist of two complete shows. That’s right, heats and features. Keef’s Rod and Custom will be the presenting sponsor of the first 15 lap, $1000 to win feature. Dents and More will be the presenting sponsor of the second $1000 to win 15 lap feature.
Both events will be Nesmith Regional points paying events. The first feature will be the regular scheduled event for August 31st and the 2nd will be a make-up from the rained out April 15th event.
Along with each event paying $1000 to win, several “bonus money” opportunities are available to the drivers. A $100 hard charger award will be awarded for each event sponsored by Keef’s Rod and Custom and Phil Moore Buick GMC. Phil Moore Buick GMC is also sponsoring a $200 bonus if the same driver can win both events. MS Street Stock Series has put up $200 for the best average finish between two events held at Whynot on August 24th and the Dirty Double features. In addition Street Stock Specialist Inc. will be sponsoring a $1000 bonus to the driver that has the highest points total from the August 24th events at Whynot Motorsport Park and the events at Jackson Motor Speedway, and competed in all 4 races utilizing the GM Performance 602 Crate Motor.
Also in action will be the Nesmith Crate Late Models. Some of the best Crate Late Model drivers in the South will be on hand competing in Round 3 of the I-20 Crate Late Model Challenge. The 20 lap JWH Equipment $1000 to win event will feature drivers Michael Arnold, Sid Scarbrough, Josh Banes, Cliff Ross, Cliff Williams and others. The top 8 in I-20 Crate Challenge Championship standings are separated by only 20 points. Mike Palasini Jr. currently leads the points, but Tody Ratcliff and Cliff Ross, who are tied for 2nd, only trail Palasini by 6 points. The rest of the top 8 in points are Randy Boyd, Bobby Jordan, Tim Dees, Doug Sanchagrin and Casey Haney.
The final round of the I-20 Modified Showdown will be held Saturday night August 31st. This event will pay $1000 to the winner. Rodney Etheridge is the I-20 Modified Showdown points leader over Toby Hodge, Alex Ashley, Kyle Rutledge and Ryan Allday. Many of the best modified drivers in the South are expected to be on hand using this event as a test and tune for the upcoming $4004 to win 6th Annual Jason Robbins Memorial on September 7th.
